Samsung's event to unveil its new handsets in the US is being postponed by a day
Well folks, we’ll need to wait just a single day more before we are all officially introduced to Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S II lineup for the US – though, we’ve already seen the trio taking a family photo today.

Originally scheduled to happen on Monday, August 29th, Samsung just informed us that they’re postponing the highly anticipated event to the following next day – Tuesday, August 30th. Still occurring at the same place and time, the decision to move it back by a day is mainly due to the fact that Hurricane Irene is expected to unleash its power upon the Big Apple.

Currently, it’s being reported that New York is asking residents to evacuate areas that are more prone to damage – plus, the subway system will be inactive for the better part of the weekend leading up to Monday. Additionally, the move to Tuesday will enable more attendees out of state to make proper adjustments to make it to the event.

Either way, we’ll be there to cover all of the festivities live, so be sure to check back then to get all the latest information and news.
