Samsung to introduce up to three new color variants for Galaxy S8, S8+

A listing on Samsung's web page indicates the Galaxy S8 and S8+ will be made available in a bunch of new colors. Joining the Midnight Black, Orchid Grey, Arctic Silver, Maple Gold, and Coral Blue color schemes that the phones are already available in will be Ice Lake Blue, Smoked Purple Grey, and Quicksand Gold for the Galaxy S8. The Galaxy S8+ will be sold in the latter two new colors only. It's also not specified whether the new shades will be Taiwan-only, or available globally.

You can get a rough idea of how these new colors look from the image above.

In addition to new colors, Samsung is currently busy developing the Galaxy S8's successor. Code-named project Star, the phone is expected to continue the Infinity Display design directive. The S8 has been a great success for Samsung so far, with the company projected to sell up to 60 million units by the end of 2017.

Moreover, Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy Note 8 during the summer, a bigger phone based on the S8 with an S-Pen stylus and enhanced hardware power. There's certainly plenty to look forward to from Samsung this year!
