Samsung posts pricing for Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear in the UK

Samsung’s latest and greatest, the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear are available for pre-order from the Samsung Experience Store on a special web-site, and is also offering a special promotion for the first 500 customers that pre-order both.

The Galaxy Note 3 can be pre-ordered for a whopping £649 ($1,014). Galaxy Gear can be had for an equally oppressive £299 ($467). If you are dying to get both devices, you can pre-order both for £848 ($1,325), saving you £100.

Those prices are stratospheric compared to the retail pricing we are seeing in the US. For example, Verizon has the Note 3 listed at $699 full retail, AT&T, $724. Neither of the carriers have Galaxy Gear listed separately, but Verizon offers an off-contract package of the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear for $999, suggesting a $300 price for Samsung’s new watch.

Of course, buying directly from Samsung nets you unbranded, unlocked devices, so that is part of the premium. Still, that is a difficult value proposition no matter how you slice it. To ease the pain, Samsung is offering the first 500 people to pre-order both devices from Samsung’s Experience Store at Westfield Stratford a £50 discount if they also trade in their old device. The old device can be in any condition, working or not working.

If the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear are two items you must have, click on the source link below and get your pre-order in before September 24th.

£299 for their smartwatch is far too much. The only use is to do simple tasks without pulling out your phone and you have to charge it every night. Smartwatches should be less than £99 IMO

Because they have £ not $ and, most importantly, Her Majesty, Mummie'. Note 3 in U.K. = $1005 (USD) Galaxy Gear Watch = $467.46 (USD) Package (not mine) = $1325.76 (USD) And, they still have to pay for service; we here in the good old U.S.A. of America have it easy (not as easy as Kim Kardashahoe at the Essence Music Festival but, close).

How is that racist? You cry "racist" for every little thing, is that your only line of defense - typical!! I was just calculating the USD equivalent and pointing out how "easy" we have it here in the good old U.S.A. of America. Why is your dress so ruffled, it's not like you have even a remote chance with Miss Kimmy - she don't do fat mens'. Besides, you'll be walking down the iDaho Pōtātō Head aisle in a couple of weeks. Do us all a favor and go buy your Cheap iPhone 5.01SC and take that RoyalPen¡s with you. By the way, hope she ain't wearin' white, that would be sacrilege.

Jealousy, and envy aren't good traits either. My fiancé has nothing to do with your idiotic beef with my, cuz I choose apple products as my primary devices. Stop hating on others happiness, and trying to tear em down dude. That's weak, and no one even really responds to your racism/stupidity. SMDH

Mann this is crap. Galaxy fone person will be restricted to buy galaxy gear and iPhone owners to buy iwatch. They should have made this universal. Atleast it should be usable for other android fones too, like Sony , htc etc. I have an iPhone and I like this watch and want to buy it now, so for dat i hv to buy a galaxy fone first. Not fair.. Bad bad world

Why is this such a big deal? They're probably just seeing if there is a niche for this market.... If people desperately want the gear then they will have no issue leaving their old devices for a new Sammy. Besides, do you think the iWatch will work on anything but iPhones??

See it dsnt make sense to buy a top range galaxy fone to use gear, since ur coming from other brand. Dis goes for apple also, they both shud make it compatible with fones other than galaxy and iPhones And for samsung they can have hold of more sales buy taking it cross platform. Some people just don't like to use android fones. So it's shunt be compulsory also. My opinion.

Samsung want us to pay £649 for the Note 3!! I will wait for the Lumia 1520 that will be priced for £475 and have a bigger high quality screen and have a beautiful designed phone, not faux leather covering plastic. Samsung and Apple should hold hands and jump off a cliff!!!

I don't know technically but what if they made it compatible withiPhone too. They would hv eaten sales of iwatch. Which will release next year.

http://www.androidbeat.com/2013/09/say-hello-hideous-new-usb-3-0-cable-new-smartphone-tablet-will-come/ costs so much because you get one of these cables. Yeah, how stupid was Apple to make a small, reversible cable that can be upgraded to USB 3.0?

$1000 for all plastic, faux leather and the same specs as any other flagship.
