Samsung's custom Steam Link for Galaxy app won't let you game without a controller

Samsung's custom Steam Link for Galaxy app won't let you game without a controller
Steam Link, the app that allows users to stream games from their Steam library to mobile devices as well as TVs, appeared for Android back in May, and is being heavily negotiated to arrive for iOS devices as well.

Samsung, however, decided to take things in its own hands, as it took the Steam Link app for a spin, and didn't like what it saw. Long story short, Samsung went Steve Jobs on the Steam Link app to fix what it deemed a dysfunctional interface and has now introduced the overhauled visuals as exclusive to its Galaxy Apps store.

The aptly-named Steam Link for Galaxy simplifies the launch screen and doesn't let you go further than that if you don't connect a Bluetooth game controller to the tablet or phone you want to get jiggy with. We don't blame Samsung, any streaming game service should set this as a requirement, as navigating those on the touchscreen would otherwise be nigh impossible.

Yet, Steam Link doesn't request that at the beginning, leaving users scratching their heads where to begin from with their game sesh. Unless you get the APK file and load it on the side, Steam Link for Galaxy is only available for the all-important US market for now, as well as in Samsung's home turf of South Korea.
