Samsung Jack gets Windows Mobile 6.5 upgrade
Samsung is offering an upgrade to Windows 6.5 for the Samsung Jack. With the upgrade, users of the handset will be able to use the upgraded IE 6 browser, which now has support for flash. If you can see it on your PC with Internet Explorer, you should be able to see it on your phone with the upgraded web browser. Windows 6.5 also brings with it Windows Marketplace for Mobile. Now, Jack owners will be able to shop for apps on the handset and download them instantly onto the device. Vlingo for Windows Phone will allow you to use voice commands to send email, text or open a web site. And the Jack will now be able to connect to any of the more than 20,000 AT&T Wi-Fi Hot Spot locations throughout the U.S. To upgrade your Samsung Jack to Windows Mobile 6.5, click on this link. One important note. Unlike some other handsets, the Samsung Jack runs on the "standard" version of Windows Mobile and the upgrade to 6.5 does not include all of the same features that come with the "professional" version of Windows Mobile 6.5.
