Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 series to be released in early 2017

Samsung was supposed to announce a new family of Android tablets - Galaxy Tab S3 - in early September at IFA 2016, but the announcement obviously didn't happen. And it looks like we won't see any Tab S3 before the end of this year (at least not following an official presentation). According to Sam Mobile, Samsung intends to unveil and launch the Galaxy Tab S3 series in the first quarter of 2017, thus in March the latest.

There should be two Tab S3 variants: Wi-Fi only (model number SM-T820), and Wi-Fi + LTE (model number SM-T825). Both could sport 9.7-inch displays with 1536 x 2048 pixels, though this hasn't been confirmed yet. There aren't any other details about these upcoming slates, but it's probably safe to assume they'll have super-thin metallic designs, just like last year's Tab S2.

Since the Galaxy Tab S2 family is widely available, we expect the Tab S3 to be launched in most relevant markets around the world, including in the US (where, at the moment, all major carriers are offering the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 - pictured above).

Do you think you'll be interested in buying a new Samsung Galaxy tablet early next year?
