Deal: Buy an unlocked Samsung Galaxy S9 for $499, free accessories included
Samsung's Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are now well over 1 year old, but they remain good smartphones, especially if you can find them at lower-than-usual prices. Normally, an unlocked S9 costs around $600, but Samsung currently has an offer that brings the phone's price down to $499.99. The larger S9+ is also discounted from $699 to $599. However, Microsoft is outdoing Samsung by selling the Galaxy S9 and S9+ for the same prices while throwing in a free charging stand and a free protective case with each purchase.

Microsoft's deal will expire on November 10. Samsung doesn't say when its deal is set to end, but mentions that this is a limited time offer. In both cases, you're getting an unlocked Galaxy S9 or S9+ with 64 GB of storage space and US warranty. Galaxy S9 and S9+ variants with more storage space are no longer available, at least not at Samsung and Microsoft.

The Galaxy S9 family certainly doesn't look as futuristic as the S10 series (launched earlier this year), but its design isn't outdated yet. Besides, both the Galaxy S9 and S9+ will be updated to Android 10 (with Samsung's One UI 2.0 on top), although it's unclear if this is supposed to happen before the end of the year. You can see how the S9 and S9+ stack up against the S10 and S10+ in the first article below.
