Samsung Galaxy S6 & S6 edge selfie camera comparison: vs iPhone 6, Note 4, and S5
According to Samsung, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge are the results of 'relentless innovation'. Now, while both phones may look decidedly innovative, we can't just take such statements for granted, can we? We need to put the new devices through a complete set of tests, in order to evaluate their capabilities correctly. And you know what? That's exactly what we're about to do now for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge, and their front facing cameras!

So, Samsung's new flagships are equipped with 5 MP front cameras - that's all well and good, but we wonder how their selfie quality is going to compete against some of the top performance in this category? Well, welcome to our selfie camera comparison, featuring the Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6, and the tried and true iPhone 6, Note 4, and Galaxy S5!

Before you go ahead and compare the selfies in the gallery below, please note that the S6 and S6 edge units that we've used here may be running unfinished software, so do keep in mind that their performance may change a bit by the time they hit retail. With that out of the way, browse through the gallery below and let us know if you like what's coming out of the S6's front camera!

The Galaxy S6 [preferably the Edge] takes this one. Captures more detail in the lower-lit settings.

The GS6 might be more detailed but the problem with it is that the lens is very wide angle and that causes distortion. The distortion makes objects near the edge of the screen look weird. The iPhone I think wins this one.

The Galaxy Note 4 resolved the most details and had the most accurate colour reproduction, ergo it wins .

No it doesn't, the IP6 has better details and clarity. Iphones have the very best camera. And specially thier softwares.

I am. It's you who can't see the truth. The iPhone excels in every sector. They use the very best components. Which are all custom made.

That's not Tim Cook, that's Arte 8800. He gave himself the other day. He's trying not to get banned for the 14th time.

I wouldn't go by the numbers on this site. Even if it was blatantly iphone, it still wouldn't get voted here. I personally think the iphone took this one.

IP6 is too zoomed in. Strictly only for selfies... Forget trying to take a groupie. You can't fit anyone in it!

I've course you can. You don't own one, and your talking nonsense. So much hate for Apple iPhone. What you jealous? Apple has always looked after us. What we want they provide. We again salute Apple for the incredible mighty iphone6, which Copysang has copied our designs. We and I must do the epic laugh.

Well... comparing the amount of space left around the photographer in them, there isn't much in the IP6 compared to the rest of the devices. You wont fit 12 people in an IP6 selfie. Unless you have arms the length of semitrucks. Then you might.

of course u can take a goupie! u need a selfie stick! don't u see all those apple losers running around with their little selfie poles? LOL

Lmao that totally reminded me. I was in a group pic and one of my friends brought out a selfie stick with his iPhone. He got most of us in the pic. I used my Note 4 at arms length and got everyone in the picture + the scenery behind us. At a higher res.
