Samsung Galaxy Note II N7100 gets its Android 4.4 KitKat update starting today

We don’t know when carrier-specific variants of the Galaxy Note II will receive the update. But we hope it will happen soon. Sprint, for example, already confirmed that its Note II would get KitKat later this year. This probably means that Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile will also update their Note IIs at some point. Meanwhile, several screenshots showing Android 4.4.2 running on the Note II N7100 can be seen in the slideshow below.
We’re expecting Samsung to bring Android 4.4 KitKat to other older devices, including the Galaxy S III, in the near future. Stay tuned for more details from the magical realm of Softwareupdateland.

that's a good news for Note II users. Hope S4 Active will be next to receive the said update.

Though there aren't much of changes, but it is still good. I had my note 2 on touchwiz kitkat since a moth ago, thanks to the E-team's DN3 rom.

Looks like this update doesn't inherit much of NOTE 3's features My suggestion : Forget this update and Give your N7100 a Ditto Note 3 (DN3) ROM treatment with KitKat in it

I' m looking forward to this update because the previous update from JB 4.1.2 to 4.3 sorted out some irratic behaviour that started to develop in the gallery and file manager apps. I have both the Note II and 3, and found the Note II to be better (until that issue referred to earlier which is now no more). In fact my boss has the Note 3 too and only last week he downgraded to the Note 2 and found it much better (smoother and cooler). I think the reason behind this is that may be the snapdragon 800 is too brutal whereas the Exynos is smoother, more heat efficient and a better tailored SoC to Samsung's devices.

It's transporters like Verizon that make being on an Android gadget an upsetting background. Individuals that don't know accuse Google/Android for Verizons purposeful postpone in OS updates for gadgets on their system moreover Apple. Verizon is basically a horrendous supplier see more goo.gl/3YwOVQ
