Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Winter Edition (with 128 GB of storage space) launches in Korea

Called Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Winter Edition, the 128 GB Note 5 should be available to buy starting today via SK Telecom and KT (oleh), South Korea's largest mobile operators. The handset is offered in gold platinum and silver titanium (which, according to Samsung, are two of the most popular Note 5 colors), at the "special price" of 999,900 KRW (about $846). Save for the increased memory capacity, the Galaxy Note 5 Winter Edition doesn't seem to be different from the 32 GB and 64 GB variants.
Samsung didn't say if it's planning to release the Galaxy Note 5 128 GB in other markets, but we'll let you know if we hear anything about this.

And Samsung wonders why the sale plummeting. People expecting Samsung behave this way. They wait for "special" edition. But when the product actually released, the eagerness has died out due to rumour of next behemoth.

Samsung Q3 2014 - 23.8% market share, 80 million Samsung Q3 2015 - 25.6% market share, 85 million Doesn't sound like plummeting.

You should really be embarrassed that I need to explain this to you. I clearly wrote the numbers were for 3rd quarter sales in 2014 and 2015. The 25.6% was even quoted in the article we're commenting on. You'd be a CPAs dream. He could rob you blind and you'd never figure it out.

As much as i would love to agree with you but all the special editions have been korean market release only so no I would have picked the 128GB version of the note but had to settle for the 64GB gold version when it became available

If only their prices don't drop significantly low after 3-4 months I would have traded my 6s plus for this beast. Samsung needs to fix that after resale value. It's the reason I can't grab me a Samsung. I don't want to lose too much money after some few months of purchase.

Why can't SAMSUNG just offer 64GB and 128GB respectively on their Note and S lines and make both variants available on ALL countries? Why is that hard to do? so much fugging hatred and Puhleeez...NO MORE 32 GB!!!!

It sounds like people working at Samsung er stupid and are trying to damage their company. BUT: First why are all flagship phones of samsung in EU delivered with qualcom when possible? Patents. And lots of law related things . A bitt different in every country in EU . Secod: They have statistics where they can se what is selling or not. Therfore calculate if the marketing and software development , patents for different part of world will pay off. We fanboys think that samsung should be listening to us but it is the mass what is important to samsung. They want numbers , sales.Thats what they are after. I had decided to buy Note 5 long befor it came out and was really sad when i heard that it wont sell to Norway. So i bought one from Asia. I was not happy with their decission but I do understend that there is some reasoning behind.

I've said this so many times as well. I think the S should still have 32/64/128. But the Note should only be 64/128 period. They can do this and the only way they will is is we maybe create a petition and have it signed by as many Samsung fans as possible. We release the info to every blog site so everyone can go and vote.

"The handset is offered in gold platinum and silver titanium (which, according to Samsung, are two of the most popular Note 5 colors)" Yet, they initially released only two colors in the US, and only recently did T-Mobile get the gold variant. Personally I would have liked the silver and a 128GB model. Samsung does this kind of thing a lot though. They release a flagship and then a couple of months later they release some kind of minorly updated model a few months later exclusive to one country.

Darkkjedii feels Samsung shoulda had this option at launch. Take away the SD card, and not give it the max available storage option, just sucks. I would've bought the 128 for sure. That's my say.

I'm in the same boat. I very likely would have bought the 128GB version of the Note 5 or S6 Edge+ but passed on both because of the 64GB limit. for me the options have to include either expandable storage or a 128GB option.
