Samsung Galaxy Note 4 visits AnTuTu Benchmark site

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is one of the most eagerly awaited smartphones due out in the second half of this year. Facing declining sales in its mobile division, Samsung is counting on the next iteration of its phablet, to get the excitement back into its mobile lineup. With this in mind, the Galaxy Note 4 paid a visit to the AnTuTu Benchmark site, which allows us to take a look at some of the specs on the device.

We expect a 5.7 inch screen on the model, and according to AnTuTu, the resolution on the display is 1440 x 2560. Under the hood is the Samsung Exynos 5433 CPU with the ARM Mali T760 GPU handling graphics. In the states, we probably will see the Snapdragon 805 powering the phablet. 3GB of RAM is inside, with 16GB of native storage, and a 16MP rear facing camera. Android 4.4.4 is pre-installed out of the box.

We should see the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 unveiled at IFA on September 3rd. That date will be here before you know it. Whether the device is enough to shake Samsung out of its stupor, won't be known for some time.

Thanks for the tip!

According to news the 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810 is still under testing and nowhere near market-ready yet, and won't be until 2015. Whilst in about two weeks time a Note 4 version may come with a 64-bit Exynos 5433 chipset. Both these Qualcomm and Samsung's chipsets are based on the same ARM' s 64-bit SoC with Cortex-A57 and Cortex-A53 cores. All that means that Samsung has probably achieved a clear lead and significant leap over Qualcomm on the 64-bit front (high end segment at least). No wonder Qualcomm is offering Samsung a discount on the Snapdragon 805 for the Note 4.

I think the Exynos 5433 is a 64-bit chipset because it's supposed to be based on ARM v8 SoC (with the Cortex-A57 and Cortex-A53 cores) which is a known 64-bit solution by ARM. This means that Samsung may announce a 64-bit Note 4 version (using Exynos 5433) and a 32-bit version (using Snapdragon 805). We shall know on 3rd September.

Too bad that this phone is going to take the 2014 best smartphone crown. Just like how the Note 3 did last year, the Note 2 did in 2012 and SO on...

King of the beast no doubt , but i will be getting the Galaxy Alpha. Apple are best in propaganda , put an apple logo at the back of a phone and zombies will rush for it. Any phone that can't multitask shouldn't be called a smart phone.

GAWD, Android L is on its way and SAMSUNG's still stuck with the 16 GB thingy. For goodness sake SAMSUNG !!! This is a f*ck*n' FLAGSHIP, 16 gb is inexcusable these days!!!!! Most people would just be OK with 2 gigs RAM i suppose, but 10-12 gigs of usable storage on a $750 - $800 phone? PLEASE

3GB RAM is disappointing. I want 64-bit Exynos SoC with 4GB RAM.

Remember the good old days when Apple fans would comment,"this is an Apple article, why are you posting on it if you don't like it?"

Coming from the iToy 5 hoping the rumours of 16GB is false for the real beast in mobile computing, Galaxy Note 4. Moving to android leaving the iToys for the kids. Real ,multitasking is going to be so great, plus knowing i'll have that screen 3-4 years before Apple implements is so iNce. Sick of BUYING NON full HD phones. Would people go and drop $$ on non HD Tv maybe if it had Apple logo.

Will they release a Galaxy Note 4 Prime? I'm afraid that if i buy the Note 4 the prime would soon be release. I'd rather wait for the Prime if that's the case.

The paper specs are telling of a good phone so far, but we all know that doesn't encompass all the capabilities behind the device and the technological milestones made by the company over the course of the year. I'm certainly eagerly awaiting what Samsung has done with this phone by their own admissions.

Lol, I would have thought so, but when I compared it with my friend's Note 3, I like the S5 much more. Plus I got a leather back cover/ case.. so it's much like a Note now :P

We're only seeing Snapdragon with higher number, maybe higher megapixel camera and a whole bunch of gimmicks by manufacturers that eat up storage data. Honestly, Note 2 is still a pretty damn good device, and there's absolutely no reason for Note 2 or 3 users to upgrade to Note 4 unless if you care about having the latest technology or don't wanna look outdated.

Looking forward to seeing what the Note 4 offers. I hope it's as far above the Note 3/S5 and the Note 3 was above the Note 2/S4. If so, it's mine.

And for how long do you intend to test it before returning it this time, just like you did with GN3?
