Samsung's next budget smartphone was just detailed in its entirety
Just hours after Samsung confirmed the incoming arrival of its long-rumored Galaxy M series, one of the brand’s new budget smartphones, the Galaxy M20, has now been detailed in its entirety.

As revealed by previous leaks, the smartphone will make its debut with a large 6.3-inch Infinity-U display. This particular panel is an LCD screen which features a resolution of 2340 x 1080p, or 409 pixels-per-inch. Looking at the rear, an aluminum body complete with a fingerprint scanner and a dual-camera setup can be found. Overall, the smartphone weighs 183 grams and measures in at 156.4 x 74.5 x 8.8mm. This means that its size is comparable to the Galaxy S9+ and the Galaxy J8, despite the larger display.

Upon inspecting the camera setup even further, it’s apparent that a main 13-megapixel sensor sits alongside a secondary 5-megapixel one. The first should ensure a pretty decent level of photography for the price. It supports both autofocus and 4x digital zoom. The second sensor, on the other hand, doesn’t support either of these but helps significantly with bokeh imagery.

As is typical, the Galaxy M20 ships with a number of different cameras modes – Beauty, Continuous Shot, Live Focus, Panorama, and Pro mode –and also support AR stickers. Sixteen different built-in filters are included in the package too. Lastly, the smartphone also includes an 8-megapixel selfie camera with permits both standard selfies and bokeh-like ones.

Moving on to the internals, the Galaxy M20 will arrive powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 7885. This chip was previously featured inside the Galaxy A7 (2018) and puts the device almost on par with the Snapdragon 630-powered Nokia 6.1 and Moto G6 Plus. Regardless of performance, it’ll come coupled with 3GB of RAM and the choice of 32GB or 64GB of expandable internal storage. The device will also ship with Android 8.1 Oreo straight out of the box and feature a 5,000mAh battery that supports fast charging.

The Samsung Galaxy M20 will make its debut on January 28th in India. Initially, the smartphone will be exclusively available in that region but, eventually, its availability will expand to most global markets.
