The Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017)

Samsung is rolling out the February security patch for its Galaxy J5 (2017) and Galaxy J7 (2017) devices. The smartphones follow the already updated Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 and Galaxy A5 (2017) to be of the first receiving the fixes.

The Korean company rolls out security improvements every other month, tackling numerous security based issues. February's patch includes all the changes from the Android Security Bulletin, fixing six crucial vulnerabilities found in Android. The Samsung Security patch will also fix 16 vulnerabilities found in Samsung's software.

As per usual, we expect to see the update rolling out on the mid and lower-range devices first, and then gradually make its way onto the flagships.
