Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) starts getting Android 7.0 Nougat update in Europe

Samsung had been testing Android 7.0 Nougat on the Galaxy A5 (2016) since the beginning of the year. Although the new Galaxy A series came ahead and received Nougat updates slightly earlier, the last year Galaxy A phones are slowly started to get the update as well.

A new report mentions Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) as the next smartphone to receive Android 7.0 Nougat. Firmware version A510FXXU4CQE9 is now being deployed to the Galaxy A5 (2016) in the Netherlands.

The update includes the May security patch along with all the new features and improvements that Android 7.0 Nougat delivers. The only catch is the update is only available for the unlocked version of the Galaxy A5 (2016).

In any case, once Samsung has kicked off the roll-out of the Android 7.0 Nougat for Galaxy A5 (2016), we expect the update to hit more countries in the coming weeks. That being said, you might want to go ahead and tap the Settings menu and choose to Manually Download Updates, if you own the unlocked Galaxy A5 (2016).
