Redbox Instant now available in Windows Phone Store as a Nokia Lumia exclusive for 60 days
After being available for iOS and Android devices for close to a year, the Redbox Instant by Verizon app is now available for Windows Phone 8 users from the Windows Phone Store. Actually, for the next 60 days, only Nokia Lumia models will be able to download the app, but that covers most Windows Phone users anyway.
The app allows you to browse and watch movies instantly (if not sooner), reserve copies of hit titles at your local Redbox kiosk, and also allows you to rent or buy videos digitally. In addition, the app will also show you a map to direct you to the closest Redbox kiosk near you. An $8 a month charge includes unlimited streaming for the month and 4 DVD rentals a month from the kiosk, which can be upgraded to Blu-ray for $1 more.
