RIM adds in-app purchasing and advertising to BlackBerry App World content
RIM is gearing up to invade and maybe conquer the modern mobile realities these few days. Little by little it is introducing bells and whistles that only competitors had before, and leveraging its own competitive advantages, such as the 28 million-strong BBM network. After turning BlackBerry Messenger into a mini-Facebook, now the Canadians are introducing the options for in-app payment and advertising to developers.

The BlackBerry App World is already seeing 1.5 million downloads daily since inception, by 35 million users in total, so the store has been expanding rapidly. Firmly decided to boost its attractiveness with developers, RIM has added the above tools with the hope that it will now be easier for them to monetize their apps, and for people to pay without having to leave the application.
