Production issues with the ZTE Nubia Z9 Max delay the phone's sale by one month

ZTE posted the sad news on its Weibo page today that production issues with the ZTE Nubia Z9 Max are forcing it to delay the sale of the phone by one month. The handset was introduced in the waning days of last month, along with the ZTE Nubia Z9 mini, and was supposed to go on sale tomorrow.  ZTE put the blame for the delay on the complex production and manufacturing process required to build the Nubia Z9 Max.

The Nubia Z9 Max is equipped with a 5.5-inch glass carrying a 1080 x 1920 resolution. The 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810 CPU powers the handset which features 3GB of DDR4 RAM, 16GB of expandable storage and a high fidelity speaker system with 7.1 channel surround sound. Back and front-facing cameras weigh in at 16MP and 8MP, respectively. A 2900mAh battery is inside and the handset comes with Android 5.0 pre-installed. The Nubia Z9 Max offers 4G LTE, NFC, dual band Wi-Fi, and OTG connectivity.

Priced at the equivalent of $403 USD, the phone is made with an aluminum body and has a double glass design. ZTE says that its QC measures and production process for the device are above industry standards. The bottom line is that with the delay, the sale of the ZTE Nubia Z9 Max will now take place sometime in May.
