Pre-orders for the HTC Desire 600 begin in Russia
No, no, no. Just because the name of the phone is the HTC Desire 600 does not mean that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 is under the hood. Actually, as we pointed out when the phone was introduced by the Taiwan based manufacturer just the other day, the handset will be powered by a quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor. Considering the old math equation 600>200, you can figure out for yourself that this is not as powerful as the Snapdragon 600.

The dual-SIM HTC Desire 600 is now available to be pre-ordered in Russia at a price of 15,990 or 16,990 rubles ($510 to $542 USD), depending on where you reserve the device from. But hey, what's 1,000 rubles anyway (actually, about $32 USD). While you can reserve the phone now, there is no release date although HTC has made some noise about an early June release.

The HTC Desire 600 will include BlinkFeed, front-facing stereo speakers, and some functionality from Zoe (but not the Zoe camera itself). Sense 5.0 will run on top of Android.
