We've all beaten most of the Pokemon games at least once. And when you've traversed the same world and the same story over and over again, it can get repetitive at times. This is when we, gamers, need a breath of fresh air, which either comes as a new game in our favorite series, or as playing a different game with similar traits.

Thankfully, Pokemon fans get just the right amount of new games from Game Freak, but none of them officially made it to mobile. However, there are some pretty good Pokemon-inspired titles in both the Android and iOS app stores.

One of the best such games is Micromons – a modern take on the classic Pokemon formula, released exclusively on iOS. And, as a celebration of their upcoming game, the developers of Micromon made their monster-collecting title free for a limited time.

The game features a colorful and vivid world, complete with 130 different creatures for you to discover and capture. It also comes with the same Pokemon vibe that the original games provide, but the new world, story and characters might be refreshing for long-time Pokemon players.
