PhoneArena is hiring: New York writer for smartphone event coverage and reviews

PhoneArena is looking for an experienced writer in the New York area. The ideal candidate would be extremely knowledgeable in the field of smartphones.

This is a full-time position for writers willing to work from home, mostly during regular business hours.

Main responsibilities:


  • Regular attendance of media events taking place in New York. You will be representing PhoneArena at press events organized by major companies in the business, such as new smartphone announcements or meetups with company representatives. Covering these events will require you to write hands-on articles, as well as take pictures and video of the new devices on the spot;
  • Testing of new products and writing of in-depth product reviews. This will also include the production of photo and video content.

Additional responsibilities:


  • Your tasks may also include working on editorial pieces, in-depth articles, and news stories;
  • Additional job opportunities may include attendance of big technology trade-shows, such as CES, MWC and IFA.

Job requirements:


  • True passion for mobile technology;
  • Experience as a writer – preferably in a mobile tech media;
  • It’s a big benefit to be well versed in product photo- and videography, but if you aren’t, it’s OK to simply be ready to learn how to do it.
