After a complete search was done on the latest Zune software maintenance release by istartedsomething, it appears that there might be some information about the Microsoft phones we’ve been hearing of late. The software update file shows three Phone device drivers listed – it’s clearly seen following the three types of Zunes in the Zune.inf file. We’ve already heard about Microsoft’s Pink project and how they are focusing these phones on the teens/twenty something market. It’s also speculated that it is a service that’ll integrate all of Microsoft’s experiences – like Zune, XBOX, Windows Mobile, and Media Center. These three phone placeholders may have its ties with the rumors floating around, but we’ll have to wait until MWC comes around to get a firm stance on Microsoft’s intentions.
