Phablet fashion: Samsung teams with Swarovski for crystal-studded Note 3 covers and bracelets

What's a girl to do so that the 5.7" Note 3 she craves look more, ahem, lady-like? Why, add some Swarovski, of course. Swarovski crystals-studded Note 3 covers are now an official accessory from Samsung, but they will cost ya.

Exclusive for the Mercedes-Benz Fashion in New York, Samsung and Swarovski have partnered for a line of phablet bling that includes said covers in three colors - Jet Black, a custom blend of Crystal Bermuda Blue and Crystal Metallic Light Gold, and Crystal Metallic Silver - but also a studded bracelet to go along with those.

The general public can also get their mitts on the bracelet and cover set, which will be available in Swarovski's retail store at 696 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan for a limited time, and will cost the hearty $299.

This wouldn't be necessary if Samsung didn't make every device with the same design.

Geez, man. This is highway robbery. Why would I pay nearly $300 for a bedazzled back cover when I could get one that is very similar for less than $10 on an eBay or an Amazon or a Case Fanatic? I bought a Damier print Louie Vuitton back cover for $5. Of course it's fake as hell and it isn't real Louie, but it looks good, damnit!! Lol. A bunch of fake jewels doesn't constitute a $300 price tag.

Of course it's not real... it's spelled Louis. All ribbing aside, this is the same price as the device is on contract... so instead of buying the phone and case, one could just but 2 Note 3's. and be more happy. I would be the one to buy a genuine Louis Vuitton or Goyard case for either my Nexus 5 or 10, if they made them.
