Ovi Maps for Web adds public transportation, sharing favorites
Maps.ovi.com, Nokia's mapping alternative to Google Maps and other popular location services, launched its updated version with public transportation information and a handful of other features, according to a blog post by the Finnish company. The newly released version of the software shows public transportation lines, adds Wi-Fi positioning and sharing locations to its functionalities.

The web maps could still be synced with your Nokia device however, as product owner Surya pointed out. Of course, one shouldn't forget that there's also the latest version of the Ovi Maps application, which allows you to download maps directly to your handset and use them to navigate your way even offline.
