OnePlus still mum on Android Nougat update for the OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X, what gives?

Chinese company OnePlus has been in the spotlight since Google released Android 7.0 Nougat thanks to the flow of updates it provided to customers owning the OnePlus 3 and 3T smartphones.

However, it looks like by focusing all its resources on getting updates for its latest high-end phones, the company forgot its promise to OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X owners, who have yet to receive the long-awaited Android Nougat update.

Disgruntled OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X users have kicked off a new Thunderclap campaign with the purpose of making OnePlus listen to their voices. Since June 2016, when the Chinese company said the OnePlus 2 would be getting Android Nougat at some point, there has been no news on the development of the update.

OnePlus has already been made aware of the Thunderclap campaign since multiple threads have been posted on the company's forum, yet there's still no official answer that would at least allow customers to hope for the update.

It's been four months since the OnePlus 3 and 3T received Android Nougat updates, so perhaps it's time for OnePlus to turn its attention to those who bought its older OnePlus 2 and X phones.
