OnePlus 6 gets its first Android 9 Pie open beta update
OnePlus has just announced the first Android 9.0 Pie open beta is now available for download for anyone using its OnePlus 6 smartphone. However, in order to make the upgrade to Android 9.0 Pie, you'll have to download a ROM package and flash it on the OnePlus 6.

Unfortunately, migrating from stable to the beta channel will prevent you from getting any Android stable updates that OnePlus will release unless you flash another ROM on the phone. If that doesn't bother you, here is what you'll get in this Android 9.0 Pie beta build:

Update system to Android 9.0 Pie
  • Brand new UI for Android P;
  • New Android P gesture navigation;
  • Other new features and system improvements.

Integrated OnePlus customization features
  • Supported accent color customization;
  • New Do Not Disturb mode with adjustable settings;
  • New Gaming Mode 3.0;
  • Added text notification mode;
  • Added notification for 3rd party calls.

Since this is a beta build, it does have some issues as well. As a matter of fact, OnePlus listed at least three that it will certainly affect your OnePlus 6:

  • Some applications may not function as expected when running on this beta version;
  • Google Pay service is not working;
  • Google Play Store might show “Device is not Certified by Google.”

There might be some other bugs and issue that you might find while running this open beta. For more details on how to download the first Android 9.0 Pie open beta for OnePlus 6 follow the link below.
