Once again, mankind learns that taking a selfie with a dangerous animal is just plain stupid

You might recall that in the space of just about one month in Late July and late August in 2015, two separate individuals attempted to shoot selfies with a rattlesnake. You can pretty much guess what happened. In both cases, the snake bit the photographer resulting in life threatening injuries and costly hospital stays.

The latest case of Animal Kingdom gone wild took place at Thailand’s Khao Yai National Park. That is where a 41-year old woman visiting from France, decided to take a selfie with a crocodile. Both the woman and her husband squatted down to take the selfie with the "enormous female" crocodile, when all of a sudden the reptile took a chunk out of the woman's thigh while the picture was being taken.

The victim was rushed to an area hospital where her condition is unknown. And so once again, we are left with a situation that should serve as a strong warning to you. Yes, selfies are so easy to take and improved optics and other tools allow you to post and share spectacular looking self portraits. And certainly, there should be no problem taking such a photograph with your pet. But when looking to snap a selfie with a dangerous animal (and a crocodile definitely qualifies as such), use some common sense. We would hate to hear that one of our readers lost his or her life over a selfie. After all, we want you to read our stories, not be the subject of them.

By the way, there is nothing wrong with your hearing. The video at the top of this story is not in English, but it does provide some additional photos of the Crocodile.

Lol! I guess she learned that they are called wild animals for a reason. Too bad she probably will lose a limb to learn that lesson.

I believe she should have first given it some meat before going ahead with the selfie. Going near a hungry animal is always a risk not worth taking.

Oh boy!!! Time to sue the zoo or apple for these peoples lack of common sense...because it's always somebody else's fault when bad things happen.

That's how natural selection works. Same with people riding fast bikes without helmet.

the crocodile took a chunk out of the woman's thigh because he didnt want the selfie to be taken by an iPhone! they should have used ANDROID!!!

We dont even know what phone she used and why would it matter anyway? There are plenty of iPhone users who are much smarter then Android users and vice versa.

OH MY GOD! never thought someone would take my comment seriously!!!! LOL . Relax mikehunta727!!!

Perfectly relaxed :) You may of been joking but many others would post something very similar and be very serious about it. Thats how tied people are to their devices, it influences their personality directly, and some really do believe the type of device they own in their pocket is a exemplary great example of their intelligence

It's the social justice warrior mentality I mentioned earlier. Someone is definitely pissed that Hillary didn't win, which I can't figure out because she would have taken whatever was left of America and handed it over to Saudi Arabia. I'm definitely looking forward to the cleansing of North America.

Never voted for Hilary or Trump. Both are the worst candidates to ever run for the WH. Would of loved Bernie Sanders but we all know how that went Say goodbye to net neutrality, and so much other things under Trump though. You and Trump supporters don't even have a clue on what you voted for. How sad.. You support a candidate who literally can't take any criticism without blowing up on twitter/on female reporters. Talk about being sensitive and needing a safe space lolol.. Tweeter in chief What do you expect though from a user with a name including 420 in their username though? Bonged out ramblings

Keep believing the lying orange man though, gobble it all up

Hopefully she lives, and learns her lesson. The only animal selfies I'm taking, are with my cat Lucy. She's the chillest cat ever. Appreciate wildlife, but from a safe distance. Crocs have no chill.

Maybe she should of rubbed cold cuts all over her body then take the selfie with the croc

wait, to go a step further, if these animals are walking oin the park, why would you want to visit that park? It's aleways a chance the wild animal will be walking on the path as well and attack even without being provoked. wow.
