Notion Ink releases Adam ICS Beta ROM, but it's a bit raw
Notion Ink CEO Rohan Shravan has been keeping everyone up to speed on the development process for the Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Notion Ink Adam tablet, and today marks a pretty big day in that process. Just before the new year, Rohan showed off a pre-Alpha build of the Android 4.0 update, but today brought the beta release of the ROM.

The development seems to have come along fairly well, and the team now has confirmed that 3G is now working, as well as graphics acceleration, YouTube HD, and USB. The beta ROM also fixes the sleep bug, and improves WiFi and sound compared to earlier releases. That said, it is still a beta, so not everything is working. The camera still doesn't work, nor does the compass, light meter, microphone, or disabling notifications.

Still, it should give a pretty good idea of how everything will work when the full release is made. If you want to give the beta ROM a shot, the download links are at the source.
