Nokia announces the 5330 Mobile TV Edition
Watching TV on your cell phone is quite a cool thing to do, but this is quite a rare feature with European handsets. Today, however, Nokia announced the fourth instalment to their product catalogue that offers precisely such a function. The Nokia 5330 Mobile TV Edition is a version of the music-oriented slider 5330 XpressMusic that comes with support for the DVB-H standard, but lacks built-in GPS.

The newly announced model looks exactly like the first 5330 and has the same pleasing overall design, physical audio player control buttons and 2.4-inch display. The cool thing about the TV-version of the handset is that the phone body itself acts as antennae, just like all other models of the manufacturer equipped with DVB-H tuner. Nokia points out the 5330 Mobile TV Edition should be able to provide no less but 6 hours of continuous TV watching, which sounds good indeed. Moreover, the phone comes with pre-installed software that will allow you to access Facebook, MySpace, Windows Live Messenger, Google Talk, ICQ, Yahoo! Messenger and AOL and chat with friends and relatives.

The Nokia 5330 Mobile TV Edition is expected to hit the shelves with a retail price tag of around $230 USD (155 EUR), although the manufacturer hasn´t indicated any particular release date.
