Nokia Lumia 720's Black update to include Double Tap to wake feature
Some of Nokia’s Windows Phone 8 handsets are already receiving the Lumia Black software update, but that’s not the case yet for the Lumia 720 - which will soon be one year old. Still, the Lumia 720 could officially get the update as soon as tomorrow, although a more realistic guess would be “in the coming weeks.”

Some users in Vietnam seem to have the Lumia Black update on their 720 before the official roll-out begins, as demonstrated in the video embedded at the end of this post.

Since the Lumia 720 doesn't have 1GB of RAM, but only 512MB, it won’t be getting all the new goodies included in the Black update. But it will get, among other things, the nifty Double Tab to wake feature. Again, this is shown in the video below (in Vietnamese).

The Nokia Lumia 720 currently costs as low as $250 unlocked, and it could still be a great choice for those who want to buy an entry-level smartphone.
