Nokia Lumia 1520 sells out in India

Nokia Lumia 1520 sells out in India
The Nokia Lumia 1520 is a massive piece of kit, as they say in the U.K. And with that gorgeous 6 inch 1080 x 1920 display comes specs that match. While the entry-level Nokia Lumia 520 and its T-Mobile branded brother (Nokia Lumia 521) might rule the roost, in India the Nokia Lumia 1520 is selling out. The phablet is not only out of stock at India's Flipkart, it is also not available at Nokia's online website.

Considering that the device is priced at 45,999 INR ($740 USD), this is not a cheap phone like the Lumia 520. And around the world, as we told you earlier Saturday, the Lumia 1520 is only ranks as the 16th most used Windows Phone based on data from AdDuplex. But over in India, the phablet is selling like hotcakes.

Wow, I doubt that Nokia Lumia 1520 sells hotcake in India. I'm not saying that Indians are not rich, but c'mon, a phone for $740 is really expensive. I can imagine Lumia 525 and 1320 getting the spotlight among the most sold phones, but Lumia 1520? It's like a Lumia with an iPhone premium factor in terms of price, like a phone only for the elite,

Sony sells more of those high ends than Nokia. Out of stock at Flipkart is no benchmark. Flipkart is expensive by 10-15% than other competing sites so those who do research never buy from Flipkart. ... Cheaper rates elsewehre ... Remember some big store in India keeping only 10 pcs of iPhone 5S and that was reported as sold out in one of PA articles implying 5S selling like pancakes. Flipkart guys are thugs.

"Sold Out" without a quantitative figure is meaningless. What was the beginning inventory? Did they sell out in millions or in hundreds? Or a few dozen?

39. HASHTAG unregistered

Likely thousands. These hundreds, dozens jokes are getting really old and annoying.

What's more annoying is how WP fanbois can't tell a differnce between a valid question and a joke due to their inferiority complex.

Umm, we actually fell like we're superior because we have something new, different, innovative, and we have Nokia.. How could we feel inferior❔.. How❔

What's more annoying is fandroids like yourself coming in with only shallow pathetic comments with nothing to add.

...and when Android sells out, it's due to their superiority complex? You got to be kidding. PA posted this as an article, accept glad for a change that something other than Android is doing good.

again a bad copy paste by PA let me explain as i am indian what's the real deal 1)Lumia 1520 is an awesome device but but but IT IS NOT SELLING LIKE HOTCAKES See the Flipkart Ratings and reviews it has got 32 ratings only. Anyone can rate without buying( just like anyone can thumb this post up ) and after a new product launch the first few reviews generally comes after 50-100 ratings .. there are only 9 Reviews out of which none of them is A certified buyer meaning nobody has bought it from flipkart and written review.. and only 3 out of 9 have bought it offline .. the rest 6 have just written simple comments . Seriously this has a much weaker response than lumia 920 the 920 had wild reviews and ratings in 1st week . Only super Rich indians can afford Lumia 1520 it cannot become a hot seller here no chance at that price. HTC one performed here badly at high price 2) Flipkart is running a 10 % offer hence some buyers buy low and sell at higher price offline to make quick bucks . Flipkart must not have got enough stock maybe 20-30 pieces only

Nokia12 is most likely being paid to write negative comments about Nokia and Microsoft...

firstly that post got posted twice by mistake hmm.. i can go on and right the same thing for you but don't worry i won't stoop at your level . all i am saying is based on valid logical reasonable explanations . i would happily accept my criticism if you counter it with logical explanation. if your best reply is that i am a fanboy or being paid then i don't have to say anything to you any sane with even half a brain can determine who is being a fanboy here. P.s - the first thing i wrote was that lumia 1520 is an awesome device and secondly i have bought 5 phones till now out of which 4 have been Nokia . now i use htc , my brother uses samsung , and my father uses nokia ..

"Indians are very smart..." What about the majority of Indian people that don't use helmet when riding a motorcycle? Isn't that smart? I think they are fanboys of Nokia, not MS.

I could care less.. Exclusivity is much better.. Besides, once Nokia starts selling as much as say Samsung does,, I wouldn't doubt if the quality would drop.. Us WP users don't want the same phone as everyone else, like some of you do.. Phones like the Note are awesome, but to have the same thing as everyone else is boring, uninspiring, just to easy.

Its cute when you come in a wp8/nokia article just to spew your hate.. Pathetic to be sure.
