Niantic announces Pokemon GO limited-time holiday item packs

Having launched two hugely successful titles this year, Pokemon GO and Super Mario Run, Nintendo is one of the biggest winners in the mobile game market for 2016.

We might argue that the former is not developed by its studio, but Nintendo still gets a nice share of the game's revenues. The company behind Pokemon GO, Niantic has been updated the game with controversial features and balance adjustments, but overall it did a good job keeping the players interested in the game's content.

The last update of the year for Niantic's Pokemon GO adds a couple of item packs, which will be available for a limited time to those playing the game during holidays.

These limited-time holiday item packs are available through the in-game shop at a discounted rate beginning the morning of December 25 through the afternoon of December 30 (PST). They come in different categories: Special, Great, and Ultra Boxes.

The packs contains Incubators, Incense, Great Balls, and Ultra Balls. In addition, the developer announced that starting the afternoon of December 30 through the afternoon of January 3 (PST), it will release Bronze, Silver, and Gold Boxes.

These boxes include the following items, not necessarily in this order: Incense, Lure Modules, Lucky Eggs, Poke Balls, and Great Balls. If you're still playing Pokemon GO, we wish you happy Pokemon hunting during holidays!

I don't know about where you live, but in my city it's still pretty happening. I'm in a fcebook group with about seventy other players, and we are doing meet ups, gym take downs, build ups.. So even though it has lost a lot of players it still has a lot of players. At least in Nor. Cal.

That is just people being hateful. Northwest Arkansas still has a big player base, as does the Texarkana area. Both are mostly rural, Texarkana more than NWA, so that says something. I had people in London help me take a gym over Thanksgiving just because we all happened to be there and they wanted Tauros in their Pokédexes. There was also a mob of tourists everytime a Mr. Mine was around. This game is far from dead.
