The Nexus 5 has returned to the Google Play Store
Despite the bump in specs, and the larger screen employed by the
Nexus 6, there are some
Nexus 5 owners who say that they want to be buried with the LG produced stock Android phone. Back in December, Google said that
the Nexus 5 would be available through the first quarter of this year. After a brief respite, the phone is once again offered for sale from the Google Play Store.
For those who have forgotten the specs, the Nexus 5 features a 5-inch LCD screen with Google Glass 3 protection, and a resolution of 1080 x 1920. Pixel density works out to 445ppi. Under the hood is a quad-core 2.26GHz Snapdragon 800 CPU with the Adreno 330 GPU handling graphics. 2GB of RAM is inside and there is 16GB/32GB of native storage available. There is no microSD slot on this model. The rear-facing camera on the unit is 8MP and does feature OIS. The front-facing camera weighs in at 1.3MP. A 2300mAh battery keeps the lights on and Android 5.0 is pre-installed.
The 16GB model is priced at $349 and the 32GB unit is priced at $399. The phone is available in black only. Both models are in stock and orders will ship in 1 to 2 business days.
