New HTC 10 (M10) photos leak out showing white and black variants
This year, HTC is a little behind Samsung, LG, and Sony when it comes to announcing a new flagship smartphone. Nevertheless, it's said that the company is planning to unveil a flagship device sometime soon, and the latest official teasers (see here and here) make us believe that this will happen before the end of March.

Yesterday, we heard that the upcoming smartphone will not be called HTC M10, as initially assumed, but simply HTC 10. We also saw images showing the handset's black and black-on-silver versions. Now, we can take a look at even more images, including a render that reveals a white-on-silver variant of the HTC 10.

Design-wise, the HTC 10 is quite different from the One M9, One M8, and One M7 (perhaps that's why HTC is ditching the M from its name). The handset doesn't have prominent front-facing speakers, instead coming with a home button that includes a fingerprint sensor. All in all, what we have here is an all-metal smartphone that kind of resembles the HTC One A9, though its rear still reminds us of the One M series.

Like Samsung's Galaxy S7, LG's G5, or Sony's Xperia X Performance, the HTC 10 is likely powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. Other expected features include a 5.2-inch Quad HD (1440 x 2560 pixels) display, 4 GB of RAM, and a 12 MP UltraPixel rear camera. So, are you excited about this next-gen HTC smartphone?

Me too, white Z2 looked incredible because of black front, Z3 had white front and it looked like some generic chinese brickphone. White Nexus 5 also looked sweet, I'd give my left toe for white back/black front iPhone or this HTC

Apple copied HTC first with the antenna lines and everything is a copy of a copy anyway its not like the design can be drastically different from previous models and still look good(the s6 is the exception)......just look at LG's G5 lol.

THICK IS GOOD SOMETHING TO HOLD AND BIG BATTERY

Despite that thickness expect less than 3K battery.

thicker doesnt translate into bigger battery... *cough* Moto X *cough* and bigger battery doesn't translate into better battery life

Exactly. People seem to forget that optimization is a thing. A perfect example would be the G3 and G4 which had abysmal battery life even compared to devices with smaller batteries. Or really, there are a lot of phones you could name.

and samsung alpha is example of a device with small battery capacity but very good battery life

no, thats not the best example... lol, i used to have an Alpha and the battery was lame, the iPhone 6S is a much better example

You can also add 3rd generation Moto G. Battery usually last around two days.

Thick, yeah looks on the picture with its back facing the sky, but the other 2 pictures actually show it's not that fat, I think it's gonna be around 8.3mm thick.

The A9 had a better design. Too bad they scrapped the promised Verizon compatibility.

Verizon scrapped that. Not HTC moron.

The design is superb, it looks just gorgeous! Looks like HTC took everything M9 had wrong away, and put some true effort to make this beauty runs smooth and fast while still maintaining very attractive design inspired by A9. The camera A9 has right now is very compe Thus, phone of the year glad I met you.

The camera A9 has right now is very competitive and HTC 10 won't have worse than that.
