Motorola kicks off Moto G5S Plus Android 8.1 Oreo global rollout
While Google has already released Android 9 Pie for about a month, smartphone companies are still struggling to provide customers with Oreo updates. Motorola promised to bring Android 9 Pie to several phones, but its products are still limited to Oreo.

The Moto G5S Plus should have received Android 8.1 Oreo about two months ago, but the soak test that we've already reported about didn't materialize in a global rollout until this week. Motorola has just updated the Moto G5S Plus support page with the Android 8.1 Oreo update notes.

It's true that the rollout has started in Brazil, but we're confident Android 8.1 Oreo for Moto G5S Plus will make it to additional territories in the coming weeks.

There aren't too many things included in the update besides Android 8.1 Oreo, but Moto G5S Plus users will definitely get the August security patch and some additional performance and stability optimizations.
