Moto Z3 Play: yeah or nah?

Motorola revealed its new Moto Z — the Moto Z3 Play. A MotoMod-supporting, shiny metal-clad, widescreen phone that looks in line with top-tier competitors that came out in 2018.

It is, however, a midrange phone. With an octa-core, 1.8 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor, it can't brag about being the most powerful phone out there, but it should certainly feel snappy enough. There's also a solid 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory — not too shabby at all! And yeah, we have the dual camera module at the back with the trendy portrait mode and a baked-in cinemagraph feature.

But then, there's the price. With a $499 price tag on it, the Moto Z3 Play will probably raise some eyebrows and have some customers ask themselves "Why go midrange?", when there are flagship phones not very far off from that price point.

So, it's off to you — what do you think of the Moto Z3 Play?
