All-metal Motorola Moto G5S Plus now available to pre-order in the US, it's $50 off until September 28

Starting today, Motorola US is accepting pre-orders for the Moto G5S Plus, a smartphone announced in early August alongside the Moto G5S (which isn't coming to the US, or at least not for now).

The Moto G5S Plus will be released on September 29 for $279.99 (model with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage space), or $349.99 (4 GB RAM, 64 GB storage space). However, if you place your pre-order before September 28, you can get the smartphone for $50 off: $229.99 (32 GB) or $299.99 (64 GB). For more details on pre-orders, check out Motorola's website at the source link below.

As its name suggests, the Moto G5S Plus is an improved Moto G5 Plus, being the first Moto G handset to feature a dual camera - including 13 MP sensors, selective focus, and 4K video recording. The G5S Plus also benefits from an all-metal unibody design, and a 5.5-inch 1080p display (larger than the 5.2-inch screen of the G5 Plus). Also on board are an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor, an 8 MP front-facing camera with LED flash, and a 3000 mAh battery with TurboPower fast charging.

The Motorola Moto G5S Plus is unlocked and compatible with all relevant US carriers, including Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint. Are you interested in buying this phone?

Motorola has the most baffling mid-range product line. It feels like they desperately want to compete with themselves.

I find their dual camera depth effect to be amazing, not sure whether it's present in other phones. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evreMV_7rcM&sns=em 8:30 he demo that feature.

I know what they are trying to do having a variety of models, trying to hit every price point. But you guys are right it seems like coming out with all the different versions of the same model is counter productive to profits.

Man this is a mess this is SOOOOO close to the Moto x4 (price, specs, and features). New definition of Lunacy, when you spend money on product development to compete with your own products.

Loved the feel of the original Moto G, felt great in the hand and was a reasonable size with passable specs and that touch of Motorola making it feel like a more pleasing Moto X (always thought the X felt chunky). Then they changed it, wanted to make it look like a flagship, 5" screens and otherwise mediocre specs, increase price.... I just couldn't see where they were going with it.... now this, a... premium midranger? wtf.

No, this a premium low-midranger, the Moto X4 is the premium mid-midranger, and the Moto X2 Play is the premium high-midranger. Get it?

G5, G5S and now G5S Plus? What a heck of confusion this brings, just like how Samsung does with it's uncountable number of models.
