Jimmy Lin does it again! Taiwan star snapped with Apple iPhone 7 Plus after leaking iPhone 6 and iPhone 5
If you live in Taiwan, you might recognize Jimmy Lin. After all, he is an ex-teen idol in the country, and is now known as an actor. If you're a long time PhoneArena reader, you might remember him as well. You see, Lin has a habit of posing with an upcoming iPhone before the new model is unveiled by Apple. This dates back to September 2012 when Lin was photographed holding the Apple iPhone 5. He posted the picture on his Weibo page.

In June 2014, Lin leaked the Apple iPhone 6, even photographing the handset side-by-side with the iPhone 5. A big fan of technology, Lin was also snapped a few days later with the Apple iPhone 6 Plus sitting on a desk while repairing the shattered screen of his Apple iPhone 5s. Apple employees in Hong Kong vouched for the legitimacy of the unannounced handsets.

Now, Lin has been photographed holding what appears to be the Apple iPhone 7 Plus. You can see the dual-camera setup on the back of the device. With Lin's track record (all of the iPhone models he leaked over the years turned out to be genuine), the odds strongly favor that the phone in the photo that accompanies this story is indeed the real thing. We should know for sure once Apple unveils its new iPhone models on September 7th.

Doesn't look as bad as I thought it would at least. It's terrible that I have that sentiment isn't it?

I have it too.

Thing is, I look at that pic of him and just see camera bump. Not the slick Apple of a few years ago... Makes me sad that they've lost the ability to design well.

Thumbs up. Agree with you.

Yea, it's far worse because its far more prominent here than in the iPhone 6/s. Not only is the hump bigger and wider but its more accentuated by that ugly ramp upwards (probably Apple trying to save costs by reducing components used for the previous chamfers and things). Plus, the fact that OP is a hardcore Apple fanboy and only went as far as to say "doesn't look as bad as I thought" goes to show that the fanboys themselves are facing serious cognitive dissonance on this. So much so that their rationalization can only take them as far as "not that bad". Can't wait for the spinning and rationalizations this year.

Run along little troll.......nothing to see here for the likes of you.

How is he trolling? He's voiced genuine concerns and obvious problems, and explained that pretty well I'd say. Judging and commenting on the Iphone 7s doesn't make you a troll. He didn't came here and post "Apple sucks" or "Iphone 7s is s**t" etc. It is obvious you're just angry because he's saying something negative about your precious apple devices. It is you who should run along.

More than likely, it's real. Nothing is safe from leaks these days. It's look isn't bad, but what will it do, and what cutting edge multitasking features will it have?

I wish the article would explain how this guy keeps on getting these phones pre-release. Gotta be deliberate... lucky guy!

Apple send it to him to leak some photos of him using it in some random public places.. Apple need to make some hype to help their phone sales in taiwan and china

It is the same as the dummy units and isn't the real thing. The only thing that would prove it is real is if they can prove it is running an A10 chip and show the dual camera working maybe. Otherwise, you can easily slap iPhone 6/s hardware into a dummy unit and call it an iPhone 7 (which is essentially what it is).

I think it won't impress anyone becaude we'll surely know every detail of the phone before the launch day, so no surprises

With all the writing functionality that's in iOS 10, I wonder if the Apple Pencil will be compatible with it.

See no need to upgrade from 6s plus. I will see what next year brings.

This phone will have much better camera, at least, I hope so. It will be faster as well. I will definitely switch to the iPhone 7 plus, given that I have 16 GB iPhone 6s plus.

If I had the 6s plus, I would just wait unless you're on the yearly plan in the states. I have the 6 plus though. I'm about to jump on that 12 month plan and upgrade.

Be interesting to see how that second lens works. Does it have optical zooming like we've heard before or is it fixed at a longer focal length.
