Instagram confirms it won't notify users of screenshots after all
Back in February, Facebook-owned Instagram revealed that it was testing a new feature that would notify its users whenever people took screenshots of their Story, following in the footsteps of Snapchat

Upon the announcement, it was clear that users weren’t exactly impressed by the revelation, with various people voicing their discontent on Twitter. Now, though, in a move that will likely lead to celebration among Instagram’s community, the photo-centric company has confirmed that it’s no longer testing the feature. Instead, it’s no focus is presumably the upcoming video hub feature that will act as a YouTube alternative that prioritizes vertical video formats and will complement the app’s various current features.

Recently, Instagram announced a number of upgrades to its Story feature, including a focus on shopping. Previously, the shopping feature allowed regular users to purchase items directly from the individual posts of business accounts but, thanks to the recent change, users will now also be able to purchase items from within Stories. Speaking of which, Instagram has also introduced a new Story resharing feature that allows users to automatically post any content they are mentioned in.
