Huawei Honor 6 Plus to launch in India on March 24 as a Flipkart exclusive
The Huawei Honor 6 Plus, the phone with dual 8MP camera sensors on back, will launch in India on March 24 as a Flipkart exclusive. The handset offers one 8MP camera with auto focus and an aperture of f/2.0. The second camera has a fixed focus and an aperture of f/2.4. With the pair, you can handle such tasks as changing the focal point of a shot and the aperture after a picture has been taken. The latter can be set in a range of f/0.96 to f/16.

While pricing has yet to be disclosed, it is believed that the handset will cost anywhere between the equivalent of $286 USD to $318 USD. The device will carry a 5.5-inch in-cell screen, with resolution of 1080 x 1920. A Huawei produced octa-core Kirin 925 CPU drives the handset while the Mali T682-MP4 GPU takes care of graphics. 3GB of RAM is on board with either 32GB or 64GB of native storage inside. And just in case that's not enough memory, a 128GB capacity microSD slot can be employed. Besides the rear cameras which we discussed above, there is an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and video chats. A 3600mAh battery keeps the lights on, and Android 4.4 is pre-installed. We should see an update to Lollipop down the road.

The handset supports 4G LTE Cat.6 which means there is support for download speeds as fast as 300Mbps. It features one nano SIM slot and one micro SIM slot. There is also an IR Blaster so the phone can double as a remote control. The Huawei Honor 6 Plus will be offered in Black, White and Gold. At 7.5mm thin, it is a fairly slim device.

Thanks for the tip!
