Huawei Honor 3 goes official: water-protected phone for the masses
The Huawei Honor 3, the phone that was first rumored to become a rival to the Samsung Galaxy S4 over time turned out to be just a mid-range device, but a good mid-range device is not something to dismiss. With IP57 water and dust protection, a quad-core 1.5GHz chip with 2GB of RAM and a 13-megapixel Exmor RS camera, the 4.7” Honor 3 has what it takes to compete.

First, let’s say that the Huawei Honor 3 features a 4.7-inch 720p display and runs on Huawei’s own K3V2 chip. It features Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and on top of that is Huawei’s Emotion UI.

The water and dust resistance is a great feature and one extremely rare for a mid-range affordable device. It’s here and you can even submerge the Honor 3 into water up to 1m depth.

Like other 2013 devices, the Honor 3 also features an infra-red (IR) beamer that you can use to control other devices like a TV for instance.

The best thing about the Honor 3 is its price of the fairly affordable $310 off contract. Right now, though, you can only order it in China.
