HTC Vive smartphone shown in video?

The Vive brading is well-known in the tech world, but it has nothing to do with the smartphone industry. However, it wouldn't comes as a surprise if HTC will want to take advantage of the hype created by its VR headset and introduce a smartphone with the Vive branding.

A new promotional video, which has nothing to do with the Ocean Note smartphone that will probably be unveiled at HTC's launch event scheduled for January 12, has just been posted by Evan Blass. The video shows how the Taiwanese company plans to provide customers with more customization options for their smartphones by offering them different types of cases.

One of the phones that appear in the video features the HTC Vive brand, but we can't say for sure whether it's a handset or just a simple case meant to protect a HTC smartphone.

The promo video highlights a new incentive by HTC, as the company could introduce a new customization program in the same vein as Moto Maker.

Unfortunately, there's no telling whether or not this promotional video, and the products shown in it, will go live next week when HTC scheduled its launch event.

Looking at evan blasses tweet, this phone probably isn't even launching now (if it ever launches) tbh. One of the reasons I dislike evan blass is that he give suggestive opinions and never says anything specific like onleaks yet picks offense when things go wrong. Now he just brought this up at thesame time told us it had nothing to do with what HTC is launching next week and at thesame time called the phone htc ocean imagined meaning that the phone could as well not even exist. Then why bring it up in the first place? Reminds me of his wrong prediction bout the M9 in 2015 tbh. Such an ill tempered douch tbh

HTC 10 a disappointment for me, there're some lacking for a flagship device. As a basic user I'd like to see improvements on: - outdoor visibility ( I hate it when put on my polarize Sunglasses) - Cool it downs, screen is getting hot and not responding( when I'm play Hungry Shark) - Camera (too much light in auto focus mode)

They should keep the Vive brand separate from their phones, this doesn't make any sense.
