The HTC Rhyme is expected to launch via Target on September 22nd

We have heard from one of our loyal readers who wishes to remain anonymous, about the HTC Rhyme. Our source indicates that the device will launch via Target Mobile on September 22nd and will be offered in an exclusive Plum color. We earlier reported that the phone would be launched on September 29th. Our source also tells us that the phone will have some cool accessories such as tangle-free headphones and a light-up gem attachment that glows when the phone receives a call or message. It's a great way to make sure that you don't miss a call when the phone is on silent.

The tipster says that we are right on when it comes to the specs of the HTC Rhyme, so to remind you, the phone is expected to be equipped with a 3.7 inch screen with a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 chip running the show. A 5MP camera is on back capturing video at 720p. Android 2.3.4 will be pre-installed on the phone with the new HTC Sense 3.5 on top. While our source did not pass along a price, we are expecting the phone to go for $199.99 with a signed 2-year contract.

Thanks, Anonymous Tipster!
