HTC One max in gold available in Taiwan
The HTC One max, the phablet sized version of HTC's flagship Android handset, is now available in gold. This is not a real gold handset, but is gold colored aluminum. If you want to see a 24K gold plated HTC One, you can check out our hands on video of the $2500 phone. While HTC is only making five units of that costly model, the gold colored HTC One max is being mass produced. Right now, though, you can find it only in Taiwan. There has been no word from HTC on whether it will expand distribution of the new color option to other countries.
The gold HTC One max looks just like a bigger version of the gold HTC One, which was released in November. Of course, the larger-sized version is equipped with that rear-facing fingerprint sensor. If gold is not your thing, The HTC One max is also available in red and in black besides the original silver color.
In addition to the 5.9 inch Super LCD-3 screen, the quad-core 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 CPU, and the 4 UltraPixel rear-facing snapper, HTC added an uncharacteristically large 3300mAh battery inside the phablet. For many HTC One max users, the extra large power cell is worth its weight in...well, you know.
