HTC Desire may be feasting on Froyo some time in August?

The Nexus One is one of the prime devices to see an official update to Android 2.2 Froyo, but one of its variants may be well on its way to feasting on Froyo before the end of the summer is here. Owners of the HTC Desire probably know about the rumor that Froyo may make its way onto the device by June 23rd, but if that doesn't pan out, it could very well make it onto the scene before August is up – this comes from the Polish website Pda.pl. However, it could mean that the country of Poland could see it some time then, whereas other countries may see it sooner. One would have to wonder when the HTC Droid Incredible will get the green light if the Desire eventually receives the update in a timely manner. Before you know it, June 23rd will be right around the corner and we'll probably get a better indication of what's expected in the near future.
