Green Riding Hood is your free iOS app of the week

It is that time again folks! Time to reveal the free iOS app of the week. Normally $2.99, this week Green Riding Hood is on the house until February 23rd comes to an end. Green Riding Hood is a interactive book for the Apple iPhone and Apple iPad that introduces readers to a healthy life style (which is where the green comes in). Besides the whole idea of living a healthy life, the story teaches children about friendship and yoga.

To achieve this, the book features award-winning graphics by Andrey Gordeev, spectacular animation and voice overs offered in 11 different languages, some of whom are famous actors. The app also includes Grandma's Cook Book which provides users with plenty of healthy vegetarian recipes. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, so the app also includes mini games.

Green Riding Hood was named as the iPad app of the year by Apple in Russia last December. You can check out a trailer that was produced for the app before its launch by clicking on the video at the top of the story. This is quite different than the usual game or puzzle app that Apple picks up the tab for each week.
