Google's Spotlight Stories unleashed for iOS, allows you to experience mesmerizing stories in 360 degrees
Google has just released another of its homebrewed pieces of mobile software to the Apple App Store. The app in particular is Spotlight Stories and allows you to experience content in a 360-degree way.
The app has been developed by Google's ATAP branch, which is responsible for the development of many a compelling hardware and software projects (take Project Ara as a perfect example).
So, what does Spotlight Stories do, exactly? Thanks to "3D and 2D animation, 360° spherical cinema-quality video, sound sphere audio, and sensor fusion techniques", basically an animation in which you get to control the camera view. Spotlight Stories allows users to experience a handful of rather unique stories that are touted as being "a little different each time".
Currently, there are four different stories that can be experienced through Google's newest iOS app - Windy Day, Duet, Buggy Night, and Help. Spotlight Stories is available for free.
