Google releases Wear OS Android P Developer Preview 2, here is what's new
Along with the first Android P beta build, Google released a new Wear OS Android O developer preview, aimed at those consumers who would like to test new features on their smartwatches.

Launched at Google I/O, the new Wear OS developer preview 2 brings support for Actions on Google, as well as important power-related enhancements such a new battery saver mode. Although the new version of Wear OS is already available for download, not everyone can get it.

If you haven't read our previous report, Google has decided to redesign the Assistant on Wear OS and add support features like visual cards, follow-on suggestion chips, as well as text-to-speech.

As far as the enhanced battery saver mode goes, you'll notice that your smartwatch will show a power-efficient watch face after the update. Your Wear OS-powered smartwatch will also turn off a set of services such as radios, the touch screen, tilt to wake when you enable this special option.

Additionally, after receiving much feedback from users, Google has decided to disable the rollback to Wi-Fi when Bluetooth is disconnected. Basically, when your smartwatch would not connect to Wi-Fi when it gets disconnected from Bluetooth.

Now, the bad news is Wear OS Android P Developer Preview 2 is only available for download if you have a Huawei Watch 2 or Huawei Watch 2 Classic.
