Google Nexus 10 ToolKit released, root and bootloader unlock made easy
So, you've received your Google Nexus 10 tablet already and you're wondering what's the geekiest thing you can do to it? Then here's a piece of software you might want to check out. Courtesy of XDA Developers member mskip comes the Nexus 10 ToolKit, which allows one to do lots of neat stuff with the device.
For example, it can root your Google Nexus 10 and unlock its bootloader, should you ever want to flash a customized ROM on it. There's also a backup feature included in the ToolKit, so you can dump your apps and data to a computer and then restore them in case anything goes wrong with your tablet.
Don't let the command line interface get you confused. The Google Nexus 10 Toolkit is actually not that difficult to use, as long as you read the instructions. Still, this software is provided with no warranty of any kind, so you'll be using it at your own risk. Note that the download link has been taken down temporarily, until some glitches get ironed out, but if you're interested in getting this handy Nexus 10 tool, keep an eye on the forum thread at the source link below.
