Google Lens standalone app now available in the Google Play Store
Google has been talking a lot about Lens in the last couple of months and many smartphone makers have already adopted the search giant plans to expand the app's availability on as many products as possible.

The last Google Lens related announcement belongs to Sony, as the company confirmed Lens has been integrated into the camera app of two of its smartphones, the Xperia XZ2 and Xperia XZ2 Compact.

Today, Google made it even easier for Android users to take advantage of what Lens has to offer. A new standalone Google Lens app is now available for download in some countries. If the app shows as incompatible it means that it hasn't been released in your region yet.

According to Google, the Lens should be fully compatible with all devices running Android Marshmallow and up, although some phones may still not be able to run the app.

If your Android smartphone doesn't have Google Lens yet, the new standalone app is meant to fix that assuming your device is compatible with the app.
