Results from a Geekbench listing for the Google Glass Enterprise Edition 2

The future of Google's smart spectacles has been uncertain, to say the least, but despite many people thinking that Google Glass is inevitably headed to oblivion, the tech giant seems adamant in keeping the brand alive.

The first version of Google Glass launched back in 2013 but failed to leave a meaningful imprint on the market due to its exorbitant price and wide-reaching privacy concerns over its "stealth" video-recording capabilities. Last year, a sequel called Google Glass Enterprise Edition was released, featuring some welcomed improvements over the original model, but keeping the same price tag of $1,500.

Earlier this month, a third model, called Google Glass Enterprise Edition, was certified by the FCC (Federal Communications Commission), and though it's unlikely that it will hit store shelves in 2018, it's already been benchmarked.

As spotted by MySmartPrice, a new Geekbench listing for the Google Glass Enterprise Edition 2 reveals that the wearable could be powered the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor, sport 3GB of RAM, and run Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.

Google Glass Enterprise Edition 2 is likely going to come out sometime next year, but don't expect it to be any cheaper than its predecessors.
